As a result, emergency personnel flocked to the Chattanooga Regional Airport, the Chattanooga Fire Department tweeted.

The fire department stated, “Great work by the pilot and airport staff, as well as all responding agencies for their coordinated efforts.” A FedEx employee told media outlets that a problem happened shortly after takeoff on the trip from Chattanooga to Memphis.

The “gear up landing” at the airport is being investigated into, reportedly to the National Transportation Safety Board. Due to the crash landing, the Chattanooga Airport closed its main runway and warned that some flight schedules would be affected, according to news sources.
