Man Utd vs. Crystal Palace player ratings: Marcus Rashford disappears once more as the ineffective Red Devils quickly revert to their previous state.

Man Utd vs. Crystal Palace

Man Utd vs. Crystal Palace

As the Red Devils suffered their fourth defeat in as few as seven Premier League games, last season’s talisman turned in another terrible display.

The resurgence of Manchester United has failed. Erik ten Hag’s team is back at square one following a sluggish 1-0 loss at home to Palace. This comes after a narrow win at Burnley and a convincing Carabao Cup triumph over Crystal Palace.

The difference was determined by a deflected Joachim Andersen goal in the first half, but United’s extreme lack of offensive zeal was most worrying. And Marcus Rashford must take the blame, since he once again played poorly and may risk losing his spot to Alejandro Garnacho if his terrible form continues.

After a fantastic debut at home four days prior, Sofyan Amrabat similarly had a dismal maiden Premier League appearance, and Casemiro once again appeared lanky following a fleeting improvement. Last season, United turned Old Trafford into a fortress, but they have already dropped consecutive league games at home for the first time since November 2021.
